  • It works a lot like in-person therapy, only in the comfort of your home. As long as you are in a confidential space with the door closed in the state of North Carolina, a therapy session can look like a messy bun, pajamas in the comfort of your couch, or your safe space with your animal holding a coffee or tea. The ease of virtual therapy is unbeatable, and that’s why I love it so much!

I use a platform called Simple Practice. Reminders will be sent to your e-mail and/or your phone and you’ll receive a link. You can use the link on a computer or your phone, making it easily accessible.

  • Homework is great to improve accountability and reflection outside of sessions. Typically, homework in the beginning is a lot of mindfulness, grounding, and tracking behaviors. Homework is optional, but if you are open to it, I am more than happy to make sure that we leave the session with reflection questions, journaling or skills to practice. Don’t fret, therapy homework is nothing like school homework! You won’t be graded, and if homework isn’t completed, we will definitely work on it together at the beginning of sessions.
